Leadership Launchpad

Leadership Launchpad is MAT’s leadership development framework designed for early- to mid-career natural resource conservation professionals, supporting the development of leadership skills and capacity aligned with individual strengths and styles.
The objectives for your leadership launchpad program include:
-
Identifying and utilizing your strengths in leadership
-
Advancing your leadership journey with supportive relationships
-
Creating an environment of celebration and appreciation
Through live sessions, participants collaborate with peers, build professional relationships, and gain practical insights to strengthen their leadership practice. Guided reflection supports more authentic, effective, and confident leadership. Asynchronous engagement provides resources, discussion, and faculty guidance that reinforce learning between sessions. Participants develop skills in reflective communication and relationship-building while clarifying their leadership style and creating a personalized plan for applying what they learn.
The agenda includes three live, virtual sessions (two hours each) delivered over a 1.5-week period. Live sessions are supplemented by asynchronous engagement on matlearning.org to deepen learning, discovery, and reflection. Participants should plan for a total time commitment of approximately 10–12 hours, including six hours of live virtual participation.
