Ocean Resources Policy Committee

Note: In 2026, the Ocean Resources Policy Committee was incorporated into the Fisheries and Water Resources Policy Committee,  which has been renamed to the Fisheries Policy Committee.
This page will continue to host historical information on the activities of the Ocean Resources Policy Committee, but all new activity relating to ocean resources will be recorded on the Fisheries Policy Committee page.

Committee Charge

Discuss, develop, and recommend Association positions related to:

  • Federal laws, regulations, and policies concerning marine ecosystems, habitats, fisheries and other resources, and related funding for such programs.
  • Marine fisheries management programs, practices or considerations (e.g., Marine Recreational Information Program, catch shares) and emerging issues (e.g., climate change, coastal energy, marine aquaculture and marine spatial planning).
